As part of Kentucky Department of Education’s ongoing Continuous Instructional Improvement Technology System (CIITS) Teacher Training, introductory and demonstration sessions and follow-up question and answer sessions for each learning module will be held. A certified CIITS trainer conducts each session via WebEx.
To ensure KDE has enough WebEx slots reserved, participants must RSVP for the session of their choice. If an inadequate number sign up, the session will be cancelled. Upcoming sessions focus on Classroom Assessments. Those interested can see the schedule and sign up for a session here.
In addition, educators can now access specific CIITS usage information for their school and district. The report is updated on a monthly basis.
After logging into CIITS, click on the link in the left column for the CIITS Training Opportunities page. Click on the About CIITS/Support tab. (Bookmark this page in your browser for future reference.) Near the bottom of the page, there is a link to the Detailed Usage Report.
The file is in a txt format and includes all 174 school districts. They are in alphabetical order by district. Schools are listed under each district. To sort:
- Save as a txt file.
- Open a blank Excel worksheet.
- Go to file>import>select txt file>then select the file you saved >then select tab delimited.
KDE has asked that SchoolNet create a report that can be run on demand by districts and schools; however, until this report is available, the monthly Detailed Usage Report should provide the detail that you need.
Also, several teachers have asked how to create mathematics equations in CIITS. KDE has assembled the Equation Editor Tip Sheet to help guide teachers as a reference for this process. It is available on the About CIITS/Support page under Additional Resources or can be downloaded by clicking here.
