The Louisville Writing Project will host a writing conference Jan. 17 at the University of Louisville for educators of all content areas in grades K-12. Participants can learn about new strategies and lesson ideas that can help students lift the quality of their writing and can receive six hours of professional development credit.

The conference includes lessons and strategies for meeting the Kentucky Core Academic Standards in all content areas of grades P-12, sessions on argument writing, working with English language learners and narrative writing.

The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the U of L College of Education & Human Development, 1905 S. First Street, Louisville. The registration fee is $100, which includes a box lunch for registrations submitted by Jan. 14. On-site registration is available for $100 without lunch.
