Registration is open for the 2015 Kentucky NEED Conference for Educators, which will be held June 14-19 in Winchester.

The conference brings together 24 educators who are passionate about bringing energy education to their classrooms and provides teachers with the most up-to-date information on all aspects of energy, including the science of energy, sources of energy, transportation, consumption, electricity, efficiency and environmental and economic impacts.

Participants will travel via tour bus to visit energy sites across eastern Kentucky and Tennessee, including power plants, a wind farm and mining reclamation sites. Educators will receive the materials necessary to implement innovative hands-on energy units for their classrooms, multi-disciplinary teams, and after-school programs. There is no cost for the conference. The application deadline is April 1. Click here for more information or to register.
