Students are invited to attend a taping of National Public Radio’s “From the Top with Host Christopher O’Riley,” a program showcasing America’s best young classical musicians, at 10 a.m. ET March 16 at Centre College’s Norton Center for the Arts in Danville.

This episode of “From the Top” will feature performances and interviews of musicians ages 8-18 from across Kentucky. The event reflects the Kentucky Academic Standards for the Visual and Performing Arts and provides middle school and high school students with an interest in the performing arts with an opportunity to see a radio show recorded live and to connect with exemplary musicians their own age.

The show will be broadcast on more than 200 public radio stations in the months following the taping. Click here to watch clips from past shows.

The taping is free, but reservations are required. Email Brittany Duvall or call (877) 448-7469 to reserve tickets.

Limited funding is available to offset bus transportation costs for schools and districts. Email Mindy Cimini by March 3 to request funding assistance.
