Classrooms are invited to participate in a live streaming PBS Education event Nov. 8 featuring filmmaker Lynn Novick, co-director of the PBS documentary, “The Vietnam War.”

During the interactive discussion, Novick will offer an in-depth look at the Vietnam War era through her latest documentary, while sharing personal, behind-the-scenes insights into her experience working with U.S. and Vietnamese veterans.

The free event will stream from 1 to 2 p.m. ET Nov. 8. Due to media rights constraints, a recording will not be available.

Throughout the conversation, students and teachers can pose questions to Novick, participate in polls and screen segments from “The Vietnam War” film. This event will offer vital perspectives on the war and give students a chance to immerse themselves in one of the most consequential, divisive and controversial events in American history.
