The Kentucky Historical Society is accepting proposals for its Kentucky History Education Conference (KHEC) June 23 in Frankfort.

Educators who have a lesson or activity – especially involving primary sources – that would benefit other social studies teachers are invited to submit proposals, which should be loosely tied to the conference theme, “Taking a Stand in History.”

The deadline for proposals is March 15. Interested educators should submit a tentative session title, an abstract of up to 200 words and a resume by email to Whitney Todd. Accepted presenters will have their conference fee waived and lunch provided.

Registration will open in April for the conference, which also includes the KHEC field study bus trip on June 24.
