The University of Kentucky Department of Chemistry will host a workshop July 28-29 on the UK campus in Lexington to introduce free massive open online courses (MOOCs) containing lectures and materials that can be utilized by high school chemistry teachers to supplement their classes.
Participants will explore the MOOCs, consider areas in which they might enhance students’ learning and develop a lesson plan for specific topics of their choosing.
Space is limited; the application deadline is July 13. Participants will receive lodging, mileage reimbursement, meals and a stipend. Click here to apply or email Jason DeRouchey for more information.
