The Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will hold its Youth Sports Safety Conference and Celebration Gala July 13-14 at the Vanderbilt University Recreation and Wellness Center in Nashville, Tenn. The conference seeks to develop strategies to prevent youth sports-related injuries and protect the health of young athletes.

The conference is open to everyone, including teachers and coaches. Featured speakers include Trajan Langdon, assistant general manager of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets; Dr. Brian Hainline, senior vice president and chief medical officer of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA); and Dr. Allen Sills, chief medical officer of the NFL.
