Teachers, interventionists and library media specialists are invited to join Classroom Teachers Enacting Positive Solutions (CTEPS) in a collaborative effort throughout the 2017-18 school year to create, research, implement and reflect on a plan to remove barriers to student learning.

Teachers participating in the program will create, enact and reflect on a plan to solve a problem in a classroom, school or district and will work with appropriate school and district personnel to communicate and promote the plan. They also will be required to:

  • attend at least 85 percent of a series of webinars held twice monthly, the first of which will be at 7 p.m. ET Aug. 28;
  • attend three in-person meetings Sept. 15-16, Jan. 8-9 and June 8 (tentative), with lodging, food, mileage and the cost of a substitute teacher paid by CTEPS; and
  • keep documentation of the work, write a blog and share their experiences through blogs, presentations and/or social media.

Teachers will receive a $1,500 stipend upon completion of the program.

Thirty-nine educators participated in the 2016-17 class of CTEPS. Visit the CTEPS website to view their work.

The application deadline is Aug. 20. Email Lauren Hill for more information or click on this Google form to see additional requirements of the program or to apply.
