Registration open for Kentucky science teachers’ conference


Registration is open for the Kentucky Science Teachers Association (KSTA) Conference on Science Education, which will be Nov. 9-11 at the Lexington Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The conference will include sessions and presentations for all grade levels presented by teachers, university educators, science curriculum vendors and others. The conference theme is “Making Science Visible.” The keynote speakers will be Commissioner of Education Stephen Pruitt and Amanda Glaze, professor of middle grades and secondary science education at Georgia Southern University.

Pruitt and other Kentucky Department of Education personnel also will present information on Kentucky’s new science assessment system.
