Educators and others are invited to the Kentucky Leads the Nation Summit on Innovations in Early Childhood, which is scheduled for Oct. 20 at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville.

Kentucky Leads the Nation was initiated by the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative in 2012 to spotlight and expand innovative practices of Kentuckians at the forefront of early childhood and K-12 education.

Participants in the free summit will explore how to ensure Kentucky’s most at-risk children have access to:

  • high-quality childcare
  • health screenings/services
  • high-quality preschool
  • community support

Experts in family engagement, community partnerships, utilizing data, improving quality of care and increasing school readiness will be on hand to share ideas and answer questions.
