Students are invited to enter the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) Adopt-a-Highway Art Contest, which is designed to increase public awareness about the damaging effects of litter, change attitudes and behaviors about littering and educate Kentuckians about the Adopt-a-Highway program.
The contest is divided into four age groups: 5-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-18. The top three finishers in each age division will receive gift cards and have their work featured in the Adopt-a-Highway calendar. Winners also will receive framed prints of their posters, while the originals are framed and displayed at the KYTC conference center in Frankfort.
The entry deadline is Oct. 31. Visit the KYTC website for an entry form.
