Students are invited to submit posters for the National Association for Pupil Transportation’s 2017 State School Bus Safety Poster Contest. The contest is open to all elementary and middle school students, and high school students in special education and computer-aided drawing programs.

Derby poster contest open to high school students

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit original artwork for the Governor’s Derby Poster Contest. Students are invited to submit their rendition of what they think Derby day looks like, with the winning poster to be displayed in the Capitol.

KET Young Writers Contest welcomes stories

The KET Young Writers Contest gives students in grades K-8 the opportunity to ignite their imaginations through creative writing. The contest is designed to promote the advancement of children’s literacy skills through hands-on, active learning and empowers children to celebrate creativity and build literacy skills by writing their own stories.

Judges needed for National History Day competitions

The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) is seeking judges for its National History Day in Kentucky regional and state contests. Regional contests will take place March 3-24 at five colleges and universities across the state, and the state contest will be April 21 in Lexington.
