The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) has made the 2018 installment of positive behavioral intervention and support (PBIS) video modules available to educators. The modules were created in partnership with the Center for Instructional and Behavioral Research in Schools (CIBRS) at the University of Louisville.
The seven videos summarize full implementation of school-wide PBIS as part of KDE’s steps to prevent the use of physical restraint and seclusion in public schools.
Each module ends with a set of questions that can be used as a self-reflection or as an engagement starter for small groups or entire faculties.
This new content does not require login credentials as with previous installments; the link is all that is required to view the modules. District policy for monitoring completion of professional development, including yearly PBIS training, will dictate how personnel will be credited for training with the new modules.
