As I walked around the Kentucky State Fair this year, I saw students of all ages enthralled with exhibits involving agriculture, civics, history, health and careers. There really is something for everyone. My favorite exhibit was the Discovery Farm that offered a variety of small animal exhibits and learning stations. And of course, I always enjoy walking through the photography entries.
The state fair is a fun and educational day out of the classroom for students and teachers. Lesson plans are provided for teachers through the fair’s field trip program.
