Most of the students I saw at Northside Elementary School (Woodford County) had chosen to walk. But later in the week Southside Elementary was having a bike-only event. The students who lived [...]

Making the most of a snow day

Winter has hit Kentucky hard this year, especially compared to last year’s very mild winter. Students will cringe when making up the days in the spring, but if you ask them now, they are excited for a snow day.

Best of 2013

By Amy Wallot My photo archive for 2013 has just over 1,000 pictures in it. That’s just the selects, the best few from every shoot. Unedited, there are thousands more from schools all across the state. I often say I have the best job at the Kentucky Department of Education and reviewing my work from the past year reaffirms it.
