(FRANKFORT, Ky.) – The Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB) is accepting nominations for the Paul J. Langan Distinguished Service Award.
The award, established in 1992, is dedicated to former Superintendent Paul J. Langan (1945-56) in recognition of his outstanding service and constructive leadership. Langan’s innovative approach to education established the foundation for the continuing improvement of education of the blind and visually impaired students at KSB.
The award recipient must be a Kentucky resident or former Kentuckian and must display qualities that have had a strong, positive influence on KSB and on the lives of persons who are blind or visually impaired. Nominations must be postmarked, faxed or emailed to KSB by March 31. The nomination form can be downloaded.
The award will be presented during KSB’s Founder’s Day Celebration in May.
