A team of four Kentucky educators attended the MBA Research National Leadership Forum Jan. 26-29 in Columbus, Ohio.

Betty J. Montgomery, business and marketing program consultant with the Kentucky Department of Education; Krysti Conlin from Whitley County High School, Jennifer Michael from Dixie Heights High School (Kenton County) and Courtney Givens from Henderson County High School attended the three-day strategic planning and collaborative experience. Invitations to the annual event are extended to teacher leaders in organizations such as state associations for marketing and business, and business-related student career and technical student organizations, like DECA or FBLA.

While at the leadership forum, the Kentucky team worked to build a common message, to engage the business community, to involve teachers and students, and to address the challenges of today’s education environment.

MBA Research (Marketing and Business Administration Research and Curriculum Center) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1971 as an education foundation. It is operated by a consortium of 29 state education departments to support educators in the preparation of students for careers in business.
