The Kentucky Book Fair, an annual event sponsored by Kentucky Humanities, brings together authors and readers to celebrate literacy in the state. The free program includes nearly 200 local and national authors who share their latest releases and offer autographs for their literary fans.

This year’s book fair will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena in Lexington. Featured authors include Wendell Berry, Rita Mae Brown, Ally Condie, Wayne Flynt, Jamie Ford, bell hooks, Loyal Jones, David Joy, George Ella Lyon, Bobbie Ann Mason, Karen Robards, Adam Silvera, Daren Wang, Chris Whipple and Crystal Wilkinson.

Attendees have the opportunity to enjoy panel discussions of authors and illustrators and to participate in author-led sessions about various aspects of the writing and publishing process.
