The annual National Council of Teachers of English conference will be Nov. 17-20 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The theme for the conference is “Faces of Advocacy.”

Featured speakers this year include award-winning author and former National Teacher of the Year Sharon Draper, best-selling author and MacArthur Genius Grant Fellow Ta-Nehisi Coates; poet, educator and best-selling author Kwame Alexander; Antero Garcia, co-designer of the Critical Design and Gaming School in Los Angeles; public school advocate Diane Ravitch, and S.E. Hinton, author of young adult favorites like “That Was Then, This Is Now.”
