The deadline for the annual Association for Women in Mathematics essay contest is Jan. 31.

This contest, which is open to students of all genders, is broken down to students in grades 6-8, grades 9-12 and college undergraduates. The essay must be 500-1,000 words in length and must be based on an interview with a woman working in the mathematical sciences. This can include mathematicians, high school teachers, engineers, scientists, etc.
