Educators can sign up now for a face-to-face training session being offered by the Kentucky Department of Education for the new Algebra 2 end-of-course (EOC) assessment.
This half-day training session is meant to provide an overview of the architecture of the teacher-generated Algebra 2 EOC assessment and introduce the framework for the spring field test. The session has been designed specifically for Algebra 2 teachers, however, it will also be open to interested administrators and assessment coordinators.
Algebra 2 teachers will develop a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the EOC architecture and the Algebra 2 course standards including the standards for mathematical practice. Using the lens of the standards for mathematical practice and content standards for Algebra 2, teachers will work toward developing criteria for instructional decisions and classroom-embedded assessments.
