Jennifer Bruton Sims was named the 2017-18 Art Educator of the Year by the Kentucky Art Education Association at its annual conference. A 20-year veteran in Hart County schools, Sims teaches at Munfordville Elementary School.

Derby poster contest open to high school students

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit original artwork for the Governor’s Derby Poster Contest. Students are invited to submit their rendition of what they think Derby day looks like, with the winning poster to be displayed in the Capitol.
