Enhance your knowledge of Earth system science and earn three tuition-free graduate credits from California University of Pennsylvania through the Project ATMOSPHERE or the Maury Project summer workshops. The professional development workshops are provided by the American Meteorological Society Education Program.

Project ATMOSPHERE: Join fellow teachers in Kansas City, Mo., at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service Training Center, July 15-21, with pre- and post-course online engagement. Learn from experts in meteorology while gaining valuable field experience. Travel, lodging, meals and all materials are provided, in addition to a $300 stipend.

The Maury Project: Explore the physical foundations of oceanography at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., July 8-20, and gain hands-on experience in oceanographic research through a day-long excursion on the Chesapeake Bay. Travel, lodging, meals and all materials are provided, in addition to a $600 stipend.
