A new working paper, “Leveraging Change: Increasing Access to Arts Education in Rural Areas,” examines access to arts education in rural areas, including the opportunities and challenges that may arise with increasing access.

The paper was produced as part of a new initiative from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). Authored by MCLA Professor Lisa Donovan and Maren Brown, a national arts management consultant, the working paper identifies promising practices and includes a case study, among additional content. It was funded by a collective impact grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
