Rockcastle County teacher’s CTE work wins national recognition

Growing up in Rockcastle County, teaching was never something Tammy Camel thought she would want to do. Now, she’s the winner of the 2021 National ACTE Carl Perkins Community Service Award for her work as a family and consumer sciences teacher at her alma mater, Rockcastle County High School.

Grayson County teacher Cody Mooneyhan wins Educated Adviser Award

Cody Mooneyhan, a family and consumer sciences (FCS) educator at Grayson County High School, is one of two Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) adviser recipients who was recognized with the 2019-2020 Educated Adviser Award. FCCLA honored Mooneyhan at FCCLA's first-ever Virtual National Leadership Conference, July 7-9.

Kentucky’s Ginny Ellington selected as National Honorary Member Award recipient

Kentucky's Ginny Ellington, a retired Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) state adviser and state family and consumer sciences (FCS) supervisor, has been selected as FCCLA’s 2019-2020 National Honorary Member Award recipient.
