The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is accepting applications for the 2023 Clean School Bus (CSB) Rebate Program.

With funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, EPA’s Clean School Bus Program will provide $5 billion over five years (2022-2026 fiscal years) to replace existing school buses with zero-emission and low-emission models.

In 2022, the EPA awarded up to $965 million to fund school bus replacements at nearly 400 schools.

The EPA is accepting applications for the 2023 CSB Rebates program until 4 p.m. ET on Jan. 31, 2024. At least $500 million in funding is expected to be awarded under the 2023 rebate program.

Resources and funding information are available on the U.S. EPA Clean School Bus Rebates website.
