NOAA climate stewards project open to educators


Applications are being accepted for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Planet Stewards Education Project (PSEP), which provides educators with the knowledge and resources to build scientifically literate individuals and communities that are prepared to respond to environmental challenges monitored by NOAA.

PSEP also supports educators in the in the development and implementation of projects involving hands-on activities that conserve, restore and protect human communities and natural resources.

Formerly the Climate Stewards Education Project, PSEP has expanded its scope to include a wider range of NOAA topics related to understanding and protecting the environment.

Selected educators who meet project requirements will be eligible for: 

  • mini-grants up to $2,500 to support an environmental stewardship action project; and
  • travel reimbursements to attend select workshops and/or national conferences following the successful completion of a planet stewardship project.
