The Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence is accepting nominations for the annual Beverly Nickell Raimondo Leadership Award. The award recognizes people who have demonstrated exceptional leadership toward improving student achievement.
Nominees must have completed the Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership (CIPL) or another activity designed to build the capacity of parents to have a positive effect on student achievement in Kentucky public schools.
The award is named for the late Beverly Nickell Raimondo, a former Prichard Committee director who in the 1990s conceived and launched the CIPL and the Parents and Teachers Talking Together Program, both of which were instrumental in shaping Kentucky’s groundswell of support for education excellence.
The nomination deadline is Oct. 5. Visit the Prichard Committee’s website for more information.
