VSA Kentucky offers grants for inclusionary arts projects

Teachers are invited to apply for VSA Kentucky’s Arts Inclusion awards for the 2018-2019 school year. The program will award 25 to 30 grants of $1,300 each to schools for arts projects that include students of all abilities.

VSA Kentucky has partnered with the Kentucky Department of Education to provide opportunities and experiences in the arts for all children – with or without disabilities – that interface with the Kentucky Academic Standards and the classroom curriculum in mainstream settings.

Classroom teachers and artists can work together to plan a fully inclusionary arts project for a group as small as 25 students to a larger group. Any project idea that provides experiential, enriching, adaptive experiences in art forms for all students will be given consideration.

The application deadline is Oct. 20. Visit VSA Kentucky’s website for more information.
