Nominations are open for the Kentucky History Teacher of the Year award presented by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. The award will be presented to a teacher in grades K-12 who finds creative ways to bring history alive in the classroom and in his or her community.
The state winner will receive a $1,000 prize and an archive of materials for his or her classroom. The state winner becomes a finalist for the National History Teacher of the Year award, which carries a $10,000 prize.
