Governor’s School for the Arts summer program accepting applications


The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) is accepting applications for its 2019 summer program auditions.

Rising juniors and seniors may attend GSA, a three-week summer program scheduled for June 23-July 13 at the University of Kentucky in Lexington that offers in-depth instruction in one of nine artistic disciplines: architecture and design, creative writing, dance, drama, instrumental music, musical theater, film and photography, visual art and vocal music. GSA is tuition free, but students must apply and audition for admittance.

The application deadline is Jan. 11. Final-round auditions will be March 22-23 at Centre College in Danville.
