Dates have been announced for the 2021 Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE).
The 2020 GSE was held online due to COVID-19, but the 2021 iteration is set to take place in person June 6-26 on Northern Kentucky University’s campus.
Applications will be accepted starting Nov. 16. The summer event is open to current Kentucky students in grades 9-11.
In preparation for the application period, more virtual events will be held on Hopin to inform prospective GSE applicants and their families.
They will take place Nov 19, Dec. 9 and Dec. 16. All of the hour-long sessions start at 4 p.m. ET.
Since 2013, GSE has taught entrepreneurial skills to teens from around Kentucky. Participants can develop a network of mentors and fellow entrepreneurs. Eleven businesses have been started by GSE alumni, while other alumni have filed for patents.
Participants can qualify for $3 million in scholarships at Kentucky colleges and universities.
More information is available at the Kentucky GSE website.
