Since 2000, the Kentucky Department of Education and The Kentucky Center for the Arts have partnered to provide Kentucky teachers with quality, in-depth and artist-led Arts Academies and Arts Integration Academies.

Teachers can now apply for one of two academies being offered this June:

  • Arts-Spanish-Cultural Studies Academy: This session is set for June 18-20 in Murray and is for teachers of the arts, Spanish and social studies in grades K-12.
  • Arts Assessment Academy: assessing student creative work in drama, music, dance, visual arts and new media with artistic criteria. This session, in partnership with KET, will be June 25-29 in Danville. The session is designed for arts teachers of one or more art form.

For more information and to apply, visit The Kentucky Center for the Arts website. The deadline for applications has been extended to April 20. You also may contact Cecilia Reyna at creyna@kentuckycenter.org or call (502) 566-5151 (email preferred).
