The Partnership Institute for Math and Science Education Reform (PIMSER) has added two series of sessions for “Up the Rigor in Math Using Games and Classrooms Assessment,” a training series on a game-based program for teachers in grades K-5 and Response to Intervention mathematics teachers in grades 6-8.
Sessions will be held:
- Dec. 5, Jan. 9 and Jan. 31 at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
- Jan. 15, Feb. 5 and Feb. 28 at the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative Conference Center in Eddyville.
Participants will learn how purposeful construction, along with discourse and formative assessment, can be used to increase fluency and will receive $200 worth of manipulatives for use in the classroom.
