The Partnership Institute for Math and Science Education Reform (PIMSER) will host a leadership academy for mathematics administrators beginning Dec. 11 at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. Sessions also will be held Jan. 8 and Feb. 8.
The Math Administrator Leadership Academy will provide participants with a better understanding of the Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics, an approach for supervision specific to mathematics and resources and rubrics to evaluate instruction and encourage growth in math teaching staffs. The academy is intended for superintendents, principals, curriculum supervisors, special education coordinators, instructional supervisors, instructional coaches and teacher leaders.
