The Kentucky Department of Education and the Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools Technical Assistance Center is offering two free trainings on behavioral threat assessments and emergency events Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at Hampton Inn and Suites in Murray:
- “School Behavioral Threat Assessments: An Introduction” on Jan. 31 is designed to familiarize schools and districts with school behavioral threat assessments to help prevent and reduce targeted violence in schools.
- “Resilience Strategies for Educators: Techniques for Self-Care and Peer Support Train-the-Educator Training” on Feb. 1 is designed to help caregivers in schools and districts better understand resilience strategies following natural disasters and other emergency events.
These trainings also will be offered Feb. 11-12 in Frankfort and Feb. 13-15 in Elizabethtown. Email Rae Burgess for more information.
