The Louisville Zoo is offering the opportunity for students to visit the zoo for a free event on Endangered Species Day, May 17. Students must completed the zoo’s Conservation Campaign Challenge to be eligible for the event.
The Conservation Campaign Challenge, a project-based learning opportunity, encourages students to research local and global environmental issues and to identify a need that most interests them to use as a basis for a conservation project. Teachers and students will be asked to create and implement a plan of action that will build awareness of the issue within their school and/or community.
The zoo’s Endangered Species Day event has been created exclusively for select participants in the Conservation Campaign Challenge. Participants will receive free admission for their entire grade level (up to 120 students), visit conservation stations, hear from guest speakers and enjoy a field party.
Visit the Louisville Zoo’s website to request more information on the Conservation Campaign Challenge.
