Registration is open for the 2019 Lieutenant Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge (LGEC), a tiered business pitch competition designed to introduce students to a realistic competitive business environment and to promote business ownership and lifelong learning.
Teams of two to four students in grades 9-12 – with at least one adult adviser – will present a written business plan, an oral presentation, a marketing video and a tabletop display at one of five regional competitions in March. The top two teams in each region will advance to the state competition in April, where they will compete for prizes, including scholarships. There also will be awards for innovation and audience choice.
The registration deadline is Dec. 3; written and online materials must be completed by Feb. 20. Visit the LGEC website for more information.
