KDE seeks help in naming new statewide instructional materials resource

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is launching an initiative to identify and develop a repository of quality instructional materials for use in classrooms across the state. Kentucky teachers will be invited to submit lessons and units aligned to the Kentucky Academic Standards for evaluation by Kentucky teacher reviewers using the nationally developed EQuiP (Educators Evaluating the Quality of Instructional Products) Rubric. The initial focus of this project will be in the area of science, with plans to expand to other content areas as standards are revised.

To best meet the needs of teachers, KDE is asking for input on this project through a survey. Feedback received from the survey will be considered in the naming (or branding) of the tools used to collect, peer review and display the instructional materials submitted by Kentucky teachers.
