Kentucky’s new minimum high school graduation requirements became law April 5. The changes add “graduation prerequisites” and “graduation qualifiers” to ensure students have basic math and reading skills, as well as experiences that can help them be prepared to enter college or the workforce.

The Kentucky Department of Education offers several tools on its Minimum High Graduation Requirements webpage, including frequently asked questions and several charts, to help people understand the new changes and how they impact other important elements of Kentucky education.
