The Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (TGC) is a year-long, fully funded professional development opportunity for elementary, middle and high school teachers to become leaders in global education.
The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and includes a 10-week online course designed to help you better understand global education, the perspectives surrounding it, how to advocate for it and how to implement it in your classroom and school.
In the spring semester, you attend a two-day Global Education Symposium in Washington, D.C., to better implement global education at your home school and to meet the other educators in the program. Later in the spring or the summer, the TGC fellowship culminates in a two- to three-week trip overseas to work with other global educators around the globe.
The application is open until March 20. Click here for more information and to begin the application process.
