Global education opportunities for the 2018-2019 school year


The Global Education Conference Network (GEC Network) will be offering several free events for educators this year.

The network is a collaborative, inclusive, worldwide community initiative involving students, educators and organizations. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe, while supporting cultural awareness, recognition of diversity and educational access for all.

The events that are being offered for this school year include:

During Global Collaboration Week, experienced global educators and other professionals will design and host connective projects and events and invite public participation. The goals of this week are to demonstrate the power of global connectivity in classrooms around the world, and to introduce others to the tools, resources and projects that are available to global educators today.

This is an opportunity for educators new to globally connected teaching and learning to participate in virtual activities designed by more experienced teachers.

This is the 9th annual Global Education Conference. It takes place entirely online around the clock Nov. 12-15. This year’s conference strands are: teachers, students, curricular, leadership, dual language, sustainable development goals, study abroad and exchange programs; and higher education
