Action for Healthy Kids is looking for Kentucky schools to become an official partner of Every Kid Healthy Week, scheduled for April 23-27.
Every Kid Healthy Week was designated as a national health observance in 2013 to highlight the work organizations and schools are doing to fight childhood obesity and for schools to celebrate their health and wellness accomplishments. Now in its sixth year, Every Kid Healthy Week has grown from 274 events in the 2012-13 school year to 1,625 events in the 2015-16 school year.
Anyone can get involved and be a part of the celebration to help support sound nutrition, regular physical activity and health-promoting programs in schools. Schools are invited to host an event during Every Kid Healthy Week or anytime in April. Consider making your field day or other school-wide event health focused.
Visit EveryKidHealthyWeek.org for more information or to learn how to host an event.
