School librarians will have an opportunity to learn alongside other library colleagues – including public and academic librarians – at the annual Kentucky Library Association/Kentucky Association of School Librarians (KLA/KASL) fall conference.
The conference is scheduled for Sept. 20-23 in Louisville. Online registration is open, and participants can register on-site, as well.
Program highlights include sessions led by school librarians on the Future Ready Librarians initiative, school and public library partnership strategies, Genius Hour ideas, app smashing (using multiple apps to create projects), e-books, Kentucky Virtual Library resources, Breakout EDU, makerspaces and project-based learning. Conference attendees also can meet authors and visit vendor booths in the large exhibit hall.
