Governor’s School for the Arts application process opened

The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) application process for the 2018 Summer Program is now available. The deadline for students to apply is Jan. 12.

Every summer for the past 29 years, a faculty of professional artist/educators have guided more than 200 of Kentucky’s finest young artists through three weeks of intense arts instruction. GSA auditions promising high school sophomores and juniors in nine different arts disciplines: architecture and design, creative writing, dance, drama, instrumental music, musical theater, film and photography, visual art, and vocal music.

Interested students also can sign up for a GSA ArtShops. These preparation workshops give students an opportunity to learn more about GSA and the application process.

More information is available through GSA’s 2018 promotional video. For questions, contact Morgan Eklund at or call (502) 566-5192.
