A professional development webinar that can provide science teachers a look at three-dimensional learning will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. EST on Dec. 9. The interactive, one-hour event will offer participants a concrete example of how Framework for K-12 Science Education Dimensions of the Next Generation Science Standards could be taught.

The lesson is hosted by the Genesee (Mich.) Independent School District and features Boone County High School science teacher Tricia Shelton, who won a National Science Teachers Association Distinguished Teaching Award earlier this year.

It is designed to help students meet performance expectations from LS-1 Molecules to Organisms: Structures and Processes.

The lesson will focus on supporting student development of science and engineering practices of  “developing and using models” and “engaging in argument from evidence.” Digital copies of materials will be provided.

The event is free, and there is no limit on the number of attendees. To access the webinar or get more information, go here.
