Getting the chance to speak with students involved in agriculture programs earlier this year, I saw just how eager students can be for education when it involves vibrant learning experiences that are relevant to the community and the world around them.
Throughout my time at Lansdowne Elementary School, I have witnessed the power of strong school-family partnerships and its crucial role in student success.
The team at McKell Middle School was one of 54 schools and early care centers to earn Family Friendly Schools Certification from Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence.

The start of the school year is always an exciting time, but sometimes our communities face challenges that can overshadow the amazing things happening in our classrooms and weigh on us as people. I know there have been some very difficult moments for some districts, students, families and communities, not just in Kentucky, but across the nation.
