Beshear named chair of national education, workforce committee
Gov. Steve Beshear has been named chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Education and Workforce Committee by NGA Chair Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and NGA Vice Chair Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper. The Education and Workforce Committee has jurisdiction over issues in the area of education (including early childhood, K-12 and postsecondary), as well as in the areas of workforce development.
