Every year, the Festival of Learnshops at Berea opens its doors to art enthusiasts from around the country, including teachers who come to the workshops to take professional development classes.
Teachers came from across Kentucky, and the country, to take part in a wide range of classes at the Berea Festival of Learnshops.
Registration is open for the Berea Festival of Learnshops, scheduled for July 7-23. Teachers were offered a cornucopia of art experiences during the 3rd annual Berea Festival of Learnshops in July. Over 100 workshops were offered to teachers and the public.
The website for the Festival of Learnshops at Berea is live. Those interested can sign up for workshops in visual arts, traditional or contemporary crafts, music, dance, storytelling, theatre, sustainability and more. Many of the activities can be adapted for classroom use, and a certificate of attendance for PD credit will be given. There are workshops for all ages.
