Teachers came from across Kentucky, and the country, to take part in a wide range of classes at the Berea Festival of Learnshops.
Registration is open for the Berea Festival of Learnshops, scheduled for July 7-23. The event includes workshops lasting from two hours to two days on topics ranging from glass blowing to oil painting, as well as professional development for educators. Teachers were offered a cornucopia of art experiences during the 3rd annual Berea Festival of Learnshops in July. Over 100 workshops were offered to teachers and the public.
The website for the Festival of Learnshops at Berea is live. Those interested can sign up for workshops in visual arts, traditional or contemporary crafts, music, dance, storytelling, theatre, sustainability and more. Many of the activities can be adapted for classroom use, and a certificate of attendance for PD credit will be given. There are workshops for all ages.
